Team Effort...Team Sleep
I started on my Phasion cover. It will be a super high end fashion mag with like models that dont even exist because they are so photoshopped. The cover so far has a amazing image of a young women in a fur coat with some crazy cool blue and red makeup. This issue of Phasion will be the "Winter Issue". So there will be alot of blues, greys, and whites. I can't wait till its finished. I am going to mock up the mag with pages and everything. No I will not design every page....but how would that be for a portfolio piece....haha.
So, photoshoots all week and I couldn't be happier. We shot in Winston monday night but I was kinda disappointed cause I wasnt in a great mood so my shots kinda sucked. Stupid me. Some cool shots came out of FAK3 but that be it.
FAK3 and I have a shoot tomorrow and Sunday. It should be super super fun. Im excited about them. Tomorrow night is a live show at Cafe Jam in G'boro. Three super good bands will be there and we get in free. Great! Sunday is some promo pics.
Well, Im super tired. Im going to go to bed....
oh yeah i forgot to mention the team effort part of the title of this blog, Death Row is great.

Mashed Tator Bugs
Our first stop was TGI Fridays. This was my first experience with the resturant and it will be my last. Poor Amber...first her drink wasnt washed and then she found a small friend in her tators...ewww. My stomach now feels bad from the food from there.
Afterwards, we went to the mall. Ritz was our main destination but they sucked it up. Cheap, crappy Sigma wantabe stuff was all they had. Yeah no thanks. So tomorrow, I do not have a tripod for the night shots. I might snatch a walmart one just so Ill have one and order a good one later. After Ritz, we went to Pac Sun where I got Casey something for her bday(we are fueding at the moment so I thought that was kind of me lol). I also spraid down Chad with "Nollie" girls perfume. He smells so pretty.
We then went to ExpressMEN where I got a kick butt track jacket for like $30. Score.
We left the mall and went to Best Buy. I played me some Call of Duty 3 on the 360 but Amber distracted me and made me get shoot in the face by a Nazi. This made me sad. We sat in a death chair but Amber loved it.
The day was well. My mind was at ease and not having to deal with school, work, business, and other obligations of the moment. I hate frescos by the way. Sorry to anyone who likes them.
Well tomorrow we are shooting in Winston. Im excited to go. I love spending time with friends. True friends.

Vday eve
We went to Glenns for lunch today. Theres nothing like the smell of old smoke and burgers to jump start your day. Had a shake when I shouldnt have. Even though I love some Glenns, its been a so so day. I do get to spend the evening with Mrs. PL. Can't wait for that. We have a test in marketting which Im really dreading. I could teach the class compared to our ins... person who just sits there all night. I hate paying for a class that wont benifit me. Maybe we will just crack jokes under our breath all night long. That sounds exciting.
The semi big day is tomorrow. I gave Mrs. PL her gift today and she didnt like it. I was saddened. I cried a little. Maybe not. Chad liked it the most so I suppose he took it. Casey and I arent really doing anything tomorrow. I got her a few things that she will really like, I hope.
Well, off to school to study with Mrs. PL on this stupid test that we havnt even went over.
Bye

Time to get serious
So yeah this is the first blog in a long time. I know. Nothing super amazing is really going on. I get to go shoot a guy tomorrow for his debut cd, excited about that. Death Row is coming along great and is really fun to play. I hung out with Stude, BB, and Mrs Pretty Lashes at lunch. Always fun. I couldnt help but look at her pie and want more. Ive never been the same since.

yeah, there is no reason for posting the banner along with the blog, I just thought I would. Oh yeah, Im addicted to drugs. Selling them that is. Stude hooked me on this widget game called Dope Wars where you sell and buy drugs. I made 41 Million today. Gotta love Crack. Anywho, Im on Casey DT. Havent been with her since Monday night. At least I have M.P.L. to chill with.
I hope everyone has a great weekend.

After a while...
After a while, you kinda get tired of hearing everyone bash the people that try to help you out in life. I'm to the point now where I do not care if this offends anyone. More than likely, if this offends you, you have offended a lot of other people so get over it.
The graphic design program at WCC is not RISD. It isn't the most respected program in the college system. It is a two year design program to help prepare you for the work force. Chad and Brian try to show us the basics of design and how it is used to create pieces that people can say "wow" about. There was a key word in that last sentence: SHOW. They are not to spoon feed us the designs. They show us how to take on a project and guide us along the way if needed, which we have done it for 2 years now and shouldn't need it in the first place. If you have felt that Chad or Brian have screwed you over or havnt done their job well, chances are, its more your fault than theirs. You make each project. You get out of it what you put in. If you dont research it, dig into it, its going to look like crap, therefore looking bad on the program. I just hate to see people think that everythings going to be handed to you. For most people in the program, as soon as you get out into the real world, you'll be eaten alive, because you dont take the time to see whats "in" today but more importantly what will be "in" tomorrow. Don't you dare blame Chad or Brian for your lack enthusiasim. If you were serious about design and serious about having a career in design, you should be researching, learning, and being more dedicated to it, outside of the 2-3 hours we are at school.
The only thing that I feel Chad and Brian have not done well is critisim. They are way to easy on us and they let crap get by that would be laughable outside college. But, I can see why they do that. If I had people who were going to evaluate me badly just because I told them what I thought about the project, and put my job on the line, I might do the same. Do you guys not realize the fact that their jobs depend on how we evaluate them? Stop acting like a 10 year old and take constructive criticism the way it was intended, to help you make a piece better. Dont be bitter about it. Grow up!
Attention Chad and Brian: If you read this, please do this...step up and be the authority in the classroom. Tell each student what you think because we grow that way. We see what we done wrong and learn how to fix it and make it better. Please do not let people run over you. You both are great guys and I am honored to call you both friends but first and formost you are my instructors. I would expect you to have the same attitude.
If this offended you, like I said earlier, I'm not that sorry. Not harsh feelings, its just that you need to grow up before you get out in the real world and these past 2 years have meant nothing.

It's 1:30...
So...its 1:30 and I can't sleep. I worked on stuff for portfolioclass tonight, err yesterday. My cd is coming out good. Im at a standstill right now because I dont have the actual CD so I dont know whatsall in the booklet so a wal-mart trip is in effect for tomorrow. Meanwhile, I started on ideas for the design poster. I really like oneI have. its very modern, looks like an indie rock poster. I like it. Class was cancelled tomo...err later on today. I will probably go tothe office and work on a massive site design Stude and I have to do. Iwill probably pop into WCC around 10 or so to see all the thugs in thedungeon.
Heres some stuff I shot with Stude the other day...just for fun.

Open Doors
Before Christmas break, Stude and I jokes around about doing freelance design work. After talking about it for 30 minutes or so, we realized that instead of laughing about it, we should persue it. We have worked together alot and have very similar styles.
We looked for offices but nothing turned up but a few days later an office became available above Talia. It's small but perfect size for two people. After finding out how cheap it was going to be, we took and started moving in to our office. We were able to use alot of the existing furniture in the building so we only had to purchase one desk. Putting it together was another story.
Afterwards, we had to decide what exactly we would do. We both instantly thought about design merch for bands since we both know tons and bands and it would really let us get creative. A few days went by and I had talked to over 8 bands, all who want stuff through us. Its so exciting.
Bands dont have a lot of money to through around so we really needed some bigger jobs to get us rolling. Chris and I both knew some people that needed something done that would really jumpstart us financially. We gave the comps and a proposal and we hear back from them today.
Every buisness needs a name. Something to stick in people minds, something to tag up everywhere so people know you. Short, catchy, and interesting. Be Good. Be Good Creatives actually but we both really liked it and it can be marketed very easily. Our website will be up soon but all we have now is a coming soon thing.
We have put alot of time and effort into this as well as alot of prayer. Chris and I both hope that you guys will support us. This is a huge step for both of us but the door was open and we had to take it before it shut.
I miss all you guys and can't wait for the nexxt round of design.
