I went shopping today after school for pants. I had a huge hole in one of my other pair so I needed some more. As I was shopping around for pants hat fit, it dawned on me on how good we have it made. We all shop around for stuff that we like that suits our style and what fits. A lot of people in this world cant do that. They are lucky to even have clothes that fit, or clothes period. We eat when we are hungry, sleep in our beds at night in warmth, and go to school everyday. Millions of people cant ever do that.
With that said, I am making it a goal of mine to be more sensitive to the fact that I am well blessed. To the fact that I can eat when I want to eat, that I have a bed to sleep in at night, and that I am educated. Casey and I adopted a child through World Visions last year but it really didnt hit me what we were doing until today. We are giving a child hope, a meaning, a life. I've been put in my place...

Very true A.D. It hits me from time to time like that as well. When I visited spooky woods while Keph was in Virginia, I saw this little boy his age with no jacket. His mom found a heater for him to stand by so that he could warm up. It broke my heart because there is such a wide spectrum of poverty and levels of wealth. Take me for instance, I am very poor compared to some and very rich compared to others. Its something that should be taken in consideration more often.
